Lifescape Ethical Business Awards

The winner to our ethical business awards is announced in the latet issue of Lifescape out this week! It was really a hard decision. We choose the winner due to their overall business and the way they had progressed so far and how they would appreciate the prize. There were many smaller businesses that applied that were really special and I wish everyone could have one! But if you are curious to see who the winner is, then please look out for the latest issue of Lifescape or follow our blog. We actually haven’t told the winner yet as we wanted it to be a surprise!

It is in the beauty industry though! that’s the only clue we are giving out today.

To Juice or not to Juice?

This was in response to my juicer craving…. its all about moderation right!

Juicing: good or bad?  Overall, it must be good.  Having a daily juice
means you’re much more likely to get your 5 pieces of fruit or veg a
day, and hopefully will be well above that target (which is designed
to be attainable by the average, not-overly-concerned-about-health
person).  Getting your kids to drink a fresh juice is also much easier
than getting a piece of broccoli down them.  But bear in mind that (a)
it can end up being pretty expensive, because you go through so much
fruit and veg, (b) you don’t get valuable fibre when you juice and (c)
if you’re having fruit juices, or even sweet vegetables like carrot or
beetroot, it can be a lot of sugar in one go.  So the message should
probably be that, like alcohol, juices should be consumed in
moderation!

Do you take any green tablets!

Recently I was sent some Sun Chlorella to trial. I have been taking it for about a week now. Apart from feeling pretty proud of myself for putting something so green into me each day I am trying to figure out if its made a difference. Has anyone else got into the habit of taking Sun Chlorella or any other ‘green’ or such like suppliments? I would be interested in your stories, if you love or hate them, do you think its worth while. I am just not yet sure. I feel pretty good. I feel fairly energized so it could be those thats giving me the boost. Something else has happened I have no desire for chocolate and really really want a juicer. Now if that is linked I guess I will see when they run out! but I am kind of in a very healthy mode.

Having always been a bit cynical of suppliments and vitamins I never really believed they could do much however i must admit I am feeling very strong just watching myself swallow 15 of these solid little green masses each day!

check out sun chlorella for more info on the product and let me know your thoughts or if you are going to give them a try. I will maybe update you in a week or so as I carry on with my trial.

Face cream decisions

Tried and tested some new products over the last couple of days. It seems crazy there are just sooo many options now for the more organic/natural and cruelty free concious consumer, such as me, but still they are not really available from our local shops, or very many of the chain stores. Talking to Janey Lee Grace of Imperfectly Natural about the many that do pretend to be natural but just are not

Anyways I tried out Daniel Fields new range this week and really like the simplicity of his new products. All completely free from baddies. I enjoyed using the muslin face cloth with his face wash then using the roll on face then eye serums and cream.

Too soon to say if my skin is becoming stunningly clear but its def feeling good and I am feeling good that am not putting any junk on it.

Check out the purity project for more details on that
